Samphire Hoe - Dover

CT17 9FL

Samphire Hoe was created from the construction of the Channel Tunnel.  Millions of tonnes of spoil was used to reclaim a new piece of land at the foot of Shakespeare Cliff between Dover and Folkestone.  The 1.7km sea wall is now one of the premier fishing hotspots in Kent.

Mackerel - Samphire Hoe is a good venue for Mackerel, a hot, calm day from May to July should see catch.

Rocky - This is a rocky venue, be prepared to lose tackle.

Wrasse - Float fishing close to the sea wall is a good tactic for catching Wrasse.

Specimen Bass - Large Bass are caught each year from Samphire Hoe.  Lures work well or pealer crab and fish baits suspended under a float.
